the reason that filming is so hateful of an idea for me is that no art should be eternal, and im afraid that we might hit the singularity, and that every shitty little of bit of what we're recording is going to last forever somehow, in the subconciounce of a computer that can imagine better than we can. paint it on sand. everytime music is recorded in a studio, it loses a little bit of its soul, but everytime it's heard in a recording, music loses a lot of its soul. nothing is made valuable because it managed to last a long time.
